The sunrise at Alishan is one of the eight spectacular sceneries in Taiwan. Local aboriginals have described the sunrise like a bride wearing her beautiful wedding gown and jumps out from the colorful clouds, and shines with golden orange ray; different seasons would give different breathtaking sceneries and the most beautiful purple gold ray is the scenery that is hard to catch.

Each morning, the aurora would rise from the mountains; sunshine would gently caress our tea plant, like its God¡¦s bless to grow the tea tress. In order for tea lovers to also see this view, we have named the tea plant ¡§Dignitea Garden¡¨, since the color purple gold was Emperor's monopoly color in Chinese culture
Our ancestor had worked on this land for over 260 years and since the opening of the Alishan Highway, crops from the flat land had been moved into the mountain area, and finally transformed into breeding high mountain tea. In Year 1986, ¡§DigniTea Garden¡¨ was established to plant and produce tea leafs. The garden also welcomed tea farmers to have OEM service and hence had become the focus of the tea production in the local area. There are different types of tea qualities in the market, since establishment, ¡§DigniTea Garden¡¨ has maintained and is persist on the quality of the tea and hopes to make a proud Taiwanese souvenir for everyone to enjoy the true Taiwanese tea flavor

Alishan tea has the best natural location and it is the only high mountain tea area that is closest to the Tropic of Cancer in Taiwan. The ultraviolet ray on the high mountains gives great help for the tea trees and could increase the amount of catechins. Among different polyphenos in the teas, catechin has the highest proportion and is the key to extract great fragrance from the tea making process, but it also contains bitterness. Hence the fog from the high mountains could separate the teas from exposing to excess ultraviolet rays as well as to bring bountiful moisture for the teas. This could avoid tea leaves get too dry. Clouds on top of the tea plants comes and goes, providing best care for the tea trees, this is why Alishan had earned the great reputation to breed great teas.
In Taiwan, ¡§Tea¡¨ plays an important role in the everyday life. ¡§Come have tea¡¨ is a common greeting words, it is also a way for old friends to keep in contact. It shows Taiwanese people are really friendly people and always welcome guests with a passionate heart. ¡C
